Below are a just a few projects I have completed in my collegiate career thus far.
A paper and presentation for Sociology of Sport (Fall 2013) exploring the stereotypes, social implications, and progress of women coaching men in sport.
A project for Legal Aspects of Sport (Fall 2013), each student studied a critical legal case of their choosing, wrote a paper examining the case, and presented the case to the class. I chose Renee Richards vs. US Tenniss Association because I found the case especially intriguing and relevant.
Examined significant 20th century depictions of the famed antagonist in one of my favorite works by Robert Louis Stevenson. I presented the results for Literature and Social Consciousness (Fall 2013).
The final project in the Intro to Mass Media (Fall 2012) class was critizal anaylzing and presenting a topic in mass media. Because I am African-American, and intrested pursuing a career in media, the topic I selected was the lack of African-Americans characters on network television.
As an end of the semester assignment in the Principles of Sport Management class (Fall 2012), each student completed a research project about any topic relating to sport management. As it has become an increasingly controversial and popular issue in the sport world, I chose to research concussions in sport.
