Career - Aspirations - Work Experience

Filmmaking - Writing
The filmmaking process has captivated me since childhood, when I began stealing my parent's video camera to make movies with my friends in elementary school. I spent many days filling notebooks with the wild, stupid and funny stories my overactive imagination conjured up. As I learned more about storytelling and film, I discovered a special interest in Screenwriting, Producing and Directing. In order to gain knowledge and hands on experience in Filmmaking I attended the Los Angeles Film Studies Center for the spring 2014 academic semester. While there I had the opportunity to work on several projects as a 1st Assistant Director, 2nd Assistant Director and Production Assistant.  I also Wrote, Produced and Directed my first short, "9:06" which is currently in post production.

In April 2015, two of my short stories "The Boy from Colinas Norte" and "For a Black Girl" were published in The Baylorian, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's prestigious century old literary magazine.

Sport Management
I am interested in working in sport marketing, agency, or journalism/broadcasting. I have always loved athletics, especially the management perspective. I look forward to working with something that I am not only interested in, but am truly passionate about. Ideally I would enjoy working for Major League Soccer, or the National Basketball Association. However, I have interest and knowledge in a plethora of sports, and would enjoy learning and working in any athletic environment.

Recently I was able to combine these two passions while working as an intern for University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's sports videography department. During the Fall 2013 semester I captured field level footage at football, soccer, and volleyball games. Being on the field of play in the middle of the action made the job even more enjoyable. The majority of my duties were video editing and I learned to use Adobe Premiere Pro as I completed highlight work for the men's basketball team.

Additionally, I plan to work with homeschool athletic development. As a former homeschooler, I know there is enormous potential in homeschool sports. But, I believe much of this potential is missed due to lack of exposure. Through careful management and promotion, I plan to bring homeschool athletics into the spotlight.

I have experience in soccer training, and aided in the development of the HCYA Hurricanes homeschool soccer team.
