Publication

I became a published author in my final semester at UMHB when my short stories "For A Black Girl" and "The Boy From Colinas Norte" were printed in the 2015 edition of The Baylorian. The Baylorian is UMHB's student-produced annual literary magazine and has been in publication for over 100 years. In addition to being published, I had the incredible honor of being selected to read "For A Black Girl" at The Baylorian release party. To this day I count that reading as one of my favorite memories from my time at UMHB.
